Slipper Bath

The slipper bath is a freestanding bath where all the components are exposed. The taps are located at the low end of the bath allowing the higher rim to be used as a support for the back when bathing. This type of bath is gaining popularity in Ireland over the past few years. It is very suited to, say, a refurbished Georgian home or indeed a new neo-period style home that wishes to reflect the more traditional bathrooms of yesterday with all the modern function and accessories of today. This style of bath is expensive and needs a large bathroom to appreciate the lovely lines and impact it makes. DOUBLE - ENDED TOP ROLL BATH

The double-ended roll top bath is a freestanding bath where all components are exposed. It needs space to compliment the attractive retro style. The taps are located in the centre of the bath and it is available with a range of traditional taps finished in chrome, brass, or gold-plate that look spectacular in the right setting. This is widely available but not at all regular hardware stores in Ireland. You may have to look to specialist suppliers to obtain it but the search is worth it.
