Carpet If you would like to place carpeting in your bathroom area, choose something durable, such as a tight Berber made out of a stain-resistant material like olefin. It is generally not recommended for bathrooms, particularly busy ones. 

Benefits: It is very quiet and comfortable.

Drawbacks: It will not provide the durability and stain-resistance you expect from a bathroom floor. It will be very difficult clean up everyday spills, much less major accidents.
